It really is awesome

Isn't really blues though.

mouse63 responds:

I'm not good with genres.

The riff is groovy

The vox is cool. With some better production it could be great. You said you made it as loud as you could without it distorting. If you want it louder you can use multi-band compression, I recommend "T-racks" for that. ( You can hear it in use in my song "High Octane", sorry if it seems like I'm advertising ) And the drums are also really bad, if you ask me. I can again recommend the program I use, Addictive Drums. ( Again, High Octane )

Nessbeatsfox responds:

Thanks Octane!

I'll look into that program. The one I use now was rather cheap for its quality, but of course its outdated now. I agree the drums are not the greatest. I want to record my own beats using my own drum set, but I still don't have one =(. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look into them and hopefully make even better songs in the future!

Not into Satch

More into Satchmo. But still, awesome. Sounds way better then what I come up with, in terms of tone. Also on a side note I've made alot of songs after Exalted Sinner ( hopefully improving ). I'd appreciate your feedback on those

Metalcan responds:

Thanks man! Sure, I'll check out your tunes.

Hmm

I like the piano parts, but the drums are a little dull sounding. The song has a good leitmotif, so to speak, but with only the piano it gets kind of boring. You should get an orchestral vst, and redo this. But still a 4/5 from me.

bearwasdead responds:

Thank you for reviewing! I needed some input on this one, because i really wanted to make it great. I'll work on it.

Well

The recording and everything is good, except for the drums which seem to be fuzzy. But, it's really repetitive. If you're going to make it a instrumental ( most of it, at least ), at least add shit loads of lead guitar playing, if you know what I mean haha. But overall, not bad

Goatchrist responds:

The drums are supposed to sound somewhat overdriven (I wanted to recreate a rehearsal-like atmosphere) but the 128 kbit do add some more unnecessary noise to them.

I used more lead in other tracks, but I wanted this one to put you in a trance-like state, if you know what I mean :)

Thanks for the good review.

Well..

It's very messy. You need to tighten the whole thing up, and add some more variety. Even with vocals. And you should also turn down the volume.

Other then that, good effort =)

BazookaZombie responds:

yeah, this recording was done last year, when i was still learning how to miz, and not very good at it. hence the volume problems. and yeah, i know its a bit repetative. i did re-do it to an extent, which i haven't submitted, but the actual progressions haven't really changed cuz i just keep moving on to other better songs.
thanks for the review anyway though.
and if i ever get around to downloading firefox look out for my new songs i've been writing. should be good.

Woah

That was so much better then i expected. Awesome.

adompeace responds:

Glad you liked it!

Love it

Awesome. Love blues and jazz. I'd like to play some myself. Jazz that is, or swing to be specific. Anyway, I love it. 5/5

internut45 responds:

Thanks much for the review. I myself love jazz and I play it everyday.
And like I said if you want sheet music to any of the parts, I have everyone of them. Just PM me.
That's tenor sax, piano, bass (acoustic or electric), and drum set.
